About Us

Our story: Nate's a mid-west boy and I'm a Southern-Floridian? We met in Tampa as 'kids', I was 17 and he was 20 and one of Nate's first lines to me was, "Do you wanna make-out?". We became friends and caught up when I came home from college. He was what you call a long-term serial dater and I was not, but we were make-out bandits when he was in between girlfriends. It never crossed my mind that we would end up together one day but we always had an attraction towards one another and both (single) wound up moving back to Tampa five years later at the same time after college, moves and dating other people. And 10 years later we're surprisingly not tired of one another!

Are we really opposites? Yes. We have interests in common and have the same beliefs in politics, religion and music but we truly are two opposite people when it comes to the daily grind! He's ADHD and I'm patient, he burns and tans with oil and I'm pale and attract skin cancer, I have sickly genes and he has a body of steel, he loves being center of attention and I'm happy to mask ourselves, after a long bike ride he needs a beer and I need water. We've never chosen the same appetizer at a restaurant when we ask each other, "so which one do you want?". I'm a planner and a worrier and he's so in the moment, he doesn't need sleep to function and I desperately do, he gets sick for 24 hours and I catch his cold for 30 days. I swear he doesn't feel pain while I just bruise, he's a terrible driver and I'm fabulous. It took five years to compromise on pizza toppings. He has no spacial awareness and I'm always telling him to watch his crazy elbows. He loves talking to strangers and I"m happy to avoid them. The one thing we have going for us is we do share love for each other (and traveling) so if that's whats keeping us together, we'll take it!
